Spatial Identity
Independent practice / creative directionlabThe translation of identity into space through material, objects, signage, graphics, atmosphere and experience.
Spatial identity translates a point of view into physical cues: material palette, signage, object language, lighting, graphics, display, scent, sound and sequence. It is useful when a brand, institution or cultural project needs to be felt in space rather than only recognised as a logo.
The work looks for a consistent grammar across room, object and image. Identity becomes an atmosphere with rules, able to hold together hospitality, retail, events, exhibitions and other public-facing environments.
